No. There’s no sign-up, no email and no password. You can use Mornio without an account, and your alarms stay on your iPhone.

Any QR code or common barcode you already have around the home: a QR code you print and stick on the bathroom mirror, or a household barcode such as a toothpaste tube, a cereal box, or a bottle in the kitchen. You register it once, and from then on only that exact code passes your Wake Check and dismisses the alarm.

You can register an optional backup item kept somewhere else, and scan that instead. If you can’t reach either one, an emergency dismissal lets you turn the alarm off so you’re never truly locked out, and it’s recorded in your history.

Mornio uses the standard iOS system alarm tone, because that is the sound iOS guarantees will keep ringing continuously until the alarm is dealt with. We tested custom tones and they stopped after a few seconds, so we chose reliability over choice. There is no premium-sound upsell.

Mornio Pro unlocks unlimited protected alarms, the stay-awake check with automatic restart, backup alarm protection and full history. It’s available as a monthly or annual subscription. Purchases are handled by Apple through your Apple Account, and subscriptions can be managed or cancelled any time in the iOS Settings app under your Apple Account.

There’s always an emergency dismissal. If both your primary and backup items are out of reach, you can still turn the alarm off. Mornio simply records that the emergency exit was used so you can see it later in your history.

No. Mornio relies on Apple’s AlarmKit, an iOS-only technology, so it runs only on iPhone. There is no Android version.

iOS 26.1 or later. Mornio’s reliable alarm depends on the system alarm experience introduced in recent iOS, which it needs to sound through silent mode, Focus and a locked screen. Older iPhones aren’t supported.

On your iPhone, in Mornio’s own private storage. There’s no Mornio account and no Mornio server. Codes you register are saved as a secure code-check (not as a photo or a readable value) together with a label you choose. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
