Two options, deliberately. This category is full of pricing mazes with weekly, monthly, several yearly and lifetime tiers, which makes comparison almost impossible. We would rather you could work out what you are paying in five seconds.

What it costs

Mornio pricing as listed on the App Store, 21 July 2026. Regional prices vary.
PlanPriceWorks out at
Free tier$0One protected alarm, indefinitely
3 Protected Mornings$0, no cardFull Pro, three mornings
Mornio Pro, monthly$7.99About $1.84 a week
Mornio Pro, yearly$29.99About $0.58 a week, or $2.50 a month

The yearly plan works out about 69% cheaper per month than monthly. If you already know the app works for you, it is the obvious choice; if you are unsure, monthly costs you nothing extra to find out.

What Pro unlocks

Details of where exactly the line falls are on is Mornio free.

How billing works

All purchases go through Apple's in-app purchase system and are billed to your Apple Account. We never see or handle your payment details, and there is no Mornio account involved at any point.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Apple charges within 24 hours before the period ends. This is standard App Store behaviour rather than anything specific to us, and the full terms are in our Terms of Use.

How to cancel

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions
  3. Select Mornio, then Cancel Subscription

You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for, then drop to the free tier. Your alarms and history stay on the phone. You do not need to contact us, and we would rather you could leave without a conversation.

How to restore a purchase

Open Mornio's settings and tap Restore Purchases. Because purchases attach to your Apple Account rather than to a Mornio account, signing in to the same Apple Account on a new iPhone restores Pro. There is nothing to remember and no password to lose. Note that your alarm history does not transfer, because it never leaves the device.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, using reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue one directly even when we would like to. If something went wrong, tell us at support@mornioapp.com anyway, because we would rather fix the cause.

How this compares

Listed pricing across iPhone alarm apps, 21 July 2026. Compare the tier you would actually buy.
AppMonthlyYearlyNotes
Mornio$7.99$29.99Free tier; no ads
Apple ClockFreeFreeNo mission, no follow-up check
Kiwake$1.99$14.99Last published version April 2021
SuperAlarm$7.99From $14.99Plus $2.99/mo to remove ads; weekly tiers exist
Wayk$9.99$19.99–$59.99Listing states subscription required to set alarms
AlarmyMany tiers, roughly $4.99–$69.99Free tier; carries “Contains Advertising”
NujFree appYou set your own penalty amounts

We are not the cheapest and do not claim to be. SuperAlarm's lowest listed annual tier and Kiwake's are both under half our yearly price, and Apple's Clock is free. What you are paying us for is the follow-up check, the absence of ads and tracking, and the fact that there is only one thing to buy.

Two pricing warnings, for any app

Why there is no lifetime option

We considered it and decided against it for now. A lifetime purchase for an app that has to keep working across future iOS releases is a promise we would rather not make badly. If that changes we will say so here rather than quietly.
